About Wildwood

Wildwood Tree Services Ltd., based in Guisborough, Cleveland is a local provider of woodland creation, forestry and woodland management- who are passionate about working within small woodlands to ensure they are sustainable, safe and an effective habitat for the wildlife which lives there- free from the destructive effects of invasive species and leaving as little impact in the woodland as we can.

Furthermore, we believe in a leaving a legacy- be this an entirely new woodland, a healthy forest or woodland products into local communities, to ensure that as much sequestered carbon stays locked in the wood and environments which we have the privilege to work in.

With a heritage in social forestry, we have come to woodland management and woodland creation from managing an ancient woodland in Dunsdale, near Guisborough, and are taking the clow impact and sustainable use of our Wildwood to other landowners in the local area and across the North East region.

The Principles which Underpin Our Philosophy are:

• Low Impact, Minimal Intervention and Sustainable: we aim to impact the environments we work as little as possible; we will only do the least needed to ensure that the wild places we work in can thrive, looking to secure sustainable ways of reducing waste, maximising carbon sequestration and using recyclable pathways wherever possible
• Local, Accountable and Friendly: we are small local business, who will champion the cause of other local businesses; we will be accountable for r the work we carry out, ensuring it is good quality and being kind, friendly and approachable to clients, potential clients, members of the public and other businesses

As you’d imagine, the forestry industry is one with many potential hazards; yet, sitting alongside our principles above, is our focus on safety. To this end, we are members of the Forestry Industry Safety Accord, benefiting from the latest and best advice and guidance in relation to safety and safe practices in forestry.
